Rocco A. D'Angelo founded D'Angelo & Associates, Inc. in 2001. Rocco began his public accounting career in 1993 as a member of a local CPA firm concentrating in closely held businesses and individuals. In 1997, Rocco continued his career as a member of the worldwide firm, KPMG Peat Marwick, where he specialized in income taxation of small to medium sized companies for two years. He then returned to a local firm to concentrate on closely held businesses and individuals. Rocco had advanced to Principal at the local CPA firm before leaving to found D'Angelo & Associates.
Rocco earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting at Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania in 1993. While at Lock Haven Rocco was a two year Captain on the Men's basketball team. Rocco earned a Certified Public Accountant, Pennsylvania, (CPA) designation in 1995.
With over 20 years experience in all areas of public accounting, Rocco brings a unique combination of exceptional client service and technical knowledge to his current clients. Rocco's unique abilities are a result of his diverse experience from worldwide and local CPA firms.
Rocco is also very committed to the community in which he lives and works. He serves as an Elder at Beverly Heights Presbyterian Church. He has previously served as Chairman of the board for the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, a not for profit committed to establishing strategies to end hunger. He also served on the board of directors of Metro Pittsburgh Youth for Christ, a not for profit deeply committed to bringing youth to Christ and to the local church. Rocco additionally served as the past Chairman of the board of Pittsburgh Cares, a local not for profit agency dedicated to volunteerism and is a graduate of Leadership Development Initiative, a program that provides leaders with the tools and contacts necessary to affect positive change in the region.
Rocco professional affiliations include membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AIPCA) and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA). Rocco has also served as guest speaker to various groups.
Rocco resides in Mt. Lebanon with his wife Jessica and their two children.
